Error Log Viewer
What role does the Error Log Viewer serve? How precisely does it work? What data does it contain?
An error log is a comprehensive report of the warnings and error messages that site visitors came across while they were browsing your website. This is the raw information that the hosting server has generated and it may help you find potential problems with your website and resolve them in a timely manner, so as to boost the site’s functionality and to raise the users’ total satisfaction. You will find many things in an error log - the time when the error appeared, the specific path to the file the site visitor could not access, the IP the request came from, and the reason this request couldn't be processed. There are different reasons for your website visitors to see an error message - a link that leads to a non-existent file, a script website that can't be processed adequately by the server, a website access attempt by a blocked IP address, and many others.
Error Log Viewer in Shared Hosting
You can enable the generation of error logs easily when you purchase a shared hosting package from us. A whole section in the Hepsia CP, offered with the accounts, is devoted to the logs and activating this feature takes literally just a mouse click. When you navigate to this section, you'll see all the hosts that you have within the account, including your domains and subdomains, including those that you may have created to test a website prior to it going live. You just need to click on the On button for the ones that you would like to be monitored by our system and it'll start generating error logs instantly. To switch off the function, you will only have to click the same button once more. Every single error log may be downloaded and saved to your PC anytime, even when you have disabled the feature.
