Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic domain extension is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registrar company and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific rules on who can obtain a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
